This time it is a heartbreaking ‘insider’ info about the plan to evacuate the Queen in case of Brexit will go wrong. You know like with zombie-infestation or alien invasion. That’s a usual thing when some country exits from certain accords.
Anyway, here is a story as reported by Daily Mail. If ‘Brexit riot’ break out, Queen Elizabeth and her family are to be evacuated. Emergency plans of the Cold War fears was used as an prototype.
“We use it in the case of disturbances due to a no-deal Brexit,” writes The Daily Mail on the basis of an anonymous source close to the government. The royal family is taken to a location outside of London should Brexit riots break out.
The conservative member of the Lower House Jacob Rees-Mogg called the plans ‘an unnecessary panic reaction’ and reacted that even during bombing in the Second World War important members of the royal family remained in London.
“This is the work of over-enthusiastic officials with little understanding of history.”
