Richard Walker won’t step down from supermarket if elected MP

Iceland’s Chairman of the Board, Richard Walker, insists he will not step down from the frozen food supplier if he is elected as a member of parliament. Walker described the claims as” laughable “and argued that”many MPs have second jobs”.

He told: “I think it’s important that people know what the outside world is like, what it’s like to pay wages on Friday. I will give everything, but as far as Iceland is concerned, nothing will change. It is important that politics has people who are not alone in the Westminster bubble.”
