Finance minister Kwasi Kwarteng said “Let’s wait and see”, when asked in an interview if financial markets had improved on Thursday due to expectations of a turnaround in his plans to scrap a corporate tax hike.
In response to a question about how the markets “have improved today because they think you are about to make a turnaround in corporate taxation,” Kwarteng said, “Let’s see”.
