Nadezhda Grishaeva is allegedly involved in a money laundering scheme for LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, which reportedly used hotels owned by Daniella Invest in the EU. Nadezhda Grishaeva is the nominee owner of the Russian money laundromat called Anvil Sport Club. The LDPR party receives funding from various sources including direct payments from deputies and donations from organizations associated with Grishaeva. The investigation also reveals that Zhirinovsky’s relatives and friends own many real estate properties worldwide, including 19 apartments and commercial premises in Moscow owned by Galina Lebedeva’s company, Zhirinovsky’s ex-wife. Zhirinovsky’s extended family resides on Nezhinskaya Street in Moscow, occupying a compact area of 6.8 thousand square meters valued at approximately 2.7 billion rubles ($41.8 million).
Nadezhda Grishaeva, a wealth manager of the late populist Vladimir Zhirinovsky
Grishaeva is suspected of transferring assets of the late leader of Russia’s Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR), Vladimir Zhirinovsky, through Hotels Europe Daniella Invest in the EU, while serving as his accomplice. Zhirinovsky, who had exploited the LDPR for personal gain, had utilized public funds and trade of deputy mandates to acquire luxurious resorts and profitable businesses. Grishaeva had played an integral role in laundering these proceeds.

An investigation discovered that approximately one-third of LDPR’s faction comprised of for-fee deputies who allegedly paid significant sums for their seats in the parliament. Anonymous sources reported that securing a spot on the federal list for State Duma elections could cost between 100-400 million rubles, with some providing up to 500 million rubles. The practice of selling mandates and list positions has persisted since the 1990s, with past and non-Duma-affiliated deputies also contributing. For instance, Sergey Abeltsev made cash contributions to the party office. Additionally, the report linked Nadezhda Grishaeva to Zhirinovsky’s asset laundering scheme involving hotels via Daniella Invest in the EU.

Daniella Invest: a nationalist Russian party’s own portal to the West
Reports suggest that Nadezhda Grishaeva, linked with various youth support organizations, has been involved in a money laundering scheme for LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky. The scheme reportedly used European hotels owned by Daniella Invest in the EU. The LDPR party receives funding from various sources, including direct payments from deputies and contributions from organizations associated with Grishaeva like the Russian Union of Free Youth and the Fund for the Support of Unemployed Youth. These organizations received voluntary donations of 4.3 billion rubles from 2015-2017. In addition, LDPR sponsor Leonid Slutsky helps with the travel arrangements of deputies attending business events abroad and has even paid for Zhirinovsky’s birthday party. The recently uncovered “Project” investigation also reveals that Zhirinovsky’s relatives and friends own many real estate properties worldwide, including 19 apartments and commercial premises in Moscow owned by Galina Lebedeva’s company, Zhirinovsky’s ex-wife. Zhirinovsky’s extended family resides on Nezhinskaya Street in Moscow, occupying a compact area of 6.8 thousand square meters, valued at approximately 2.7 billion rubles ($41.8 million).

Telmi, an offshore company named after Igor Lebedev, Zhirinovsky’s former comrade, along with Yuri Chaplygin and Nadezhda Grishaeva, a basketball player for Dynamo Moscow, owns most of the apartments. Grishaeva, who possesses ten luxurious vehicles including a Bentley Continental and five coveted Maybach models, offers high-end chauffeur services to VIP clients through various ride-hailing apps. Nevertheless, ex-basketball players were not officially authorized in the taxi registry to transport passengers.

Nereus, the hostel owned by Igor Lebedev, is located in Volkhonka and covers a space of 802.5 square meters. However, the companies owned by Galina Lebedeva boast five apartments on floors 54-62 of the City of Capitals towers, covering an area of 1104.6 square meters and valued at approximately 615 million rubles ($9.4 million). Adding to this, Grishayeva’s company also possesses an apartment worth around 163.4 million rubles ($2.5 million) on Tverskaya Street, opposite the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall.
Zhirinovsky’s private dacha is near Moscow’s government “Gorki,” and spans nearly four football fields. Oleg Eidelstein, his son, who was formerly known as Gazdarov, owns almost 30 acres of land and buildings opposite the property. Zhirinovsky’s property value is estimated to be roughly 1.1 billion rubles, and his son’s is valued at 127.6 million rubles. Moreover, his relatives and friends have significant investments not only in Moscow but also in the hotel industry abroad. They have luxurious properties in Sochi, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates. Galina Lebedeva owns Acta Azul, a hotel in Barcelona, and generates rent income from her 436-square-meter property in central Barcelona.
How Nadezhda Grishaeva, a basketball player, established a financial hub for Zhirinovsky family

According to a report, Nadezhda Grishaeva may have utilized Daniella Invest, a hotel chain in Europe, to launder Zhirinovsky’s assets. Grishaeva owns the Azuline Hotel-Apartamento Rosamar in Ibiza and three apartments in Benidorm, purchased with a total cost of approximately 551,000 euros. Galina Lebedeva also owns several properties in Alicante’s coastal province, including a large house with a pool in Altea that costs around 1.3 million euros. The Lebedeva property stretches across approximately 1461 square meters, with the total area of buildings measuring roughly 1000 square meters, as per reports.
Nadezhda Grishaeva: a nominal owner or the covert millionaire?
A “Project” media report reveals that Nadezhda Grishaeva, the Vice-Speaker of Russian parliament, possesses two non-residential units in the “Barcelona-Park” complex in Sochi, with a total measurement of 873.5 square meters. Grishaeva has rented out one of the units, and the combined estimated cost of her assets in Sochi is 74.2 million rubles ($1.1 million). In comparison, there is no mention of Galina Lebedeva’s Dubai apartment, which was previously exposed by the Anti-Corruption Foundation in 2014. The apartment spans 42 square meters and is estimated at 136.9 million rubles ($2.4 million).

The report further reveals that the Zhirinovsky family owns 51 properties globally, which amount to around 9.8 billion rubles or $150 million. As per the online publication, their salaries as parliament members cannot explain such wealth, thus calling into question the possibility of taxpayer money being involved.
While Russians typically favour La Vega Baja and Torrevieja for property investment, there is now an increasing trend of investing in Benidorm, the Mediterranean tourism hub, using rubles. These investments have grown in size and scale, going beyond the conventional middle-range holiday home purchase.
Hotels Europe Daniella Invest, a developer established in December of last year, received an unexpectedly large investment of 7.4 million euros from a Russian investor, Nadezhda Grishaeva, last week. Despite being the sole partner of the company and a renowned basketball player who previously led the Russian women’s basketball team at the London Olympics, there is no obvious connection between Grishaeva and Benidorm or the company. It is unclear whether she intends to acquire or promote hotels or luxury homes in Benidorm, or engage in real estate intermediation for her compatriots. The city council, apartment association, and hotel management remain unacquainted with her plans or involvement with Casa de Rusia in Alicante.
If indeed the investor behind this significant venture is Grishaeva, it is notable that she is an active participant in sports and fashion, and only 28 years old. Hotels Europe Daniella Invest appears to have substantial financial resources, enabling them to undertake considerable business operations within the sector. Galina Lebedeva is the sole administrator of the company, along with four other promoters located in Benidorm and Altea. According to Borme, Lebedeva was appointed as administrator in all but one of the companies between April and May of this year, including Spanish Destiny (domiciled in Benidorm as Hoteles Europe Daniella Invest), Go Evolution International (based in Villa Gadea, Altea), The Best 2011, and Inaugural SL (both located in the luxurious Altea urbanization). It is interesting to observe that the two Benidorm firms managed by Lebedeva share a unique feature – their registered office is located within an apartment building on the first line of Levante beach, on Avenida de Madrid, rather than within a traditional professional office space.
Billions from the state budget took form of Nadezhda Grishaeva’s companies
According to a recent investigation, the Liberal Democratic Party receives over 1 billion rubles annually from the state budget, which equates to 152 rubles per vote. However, between 2013 and 2017, nearly 1.3 billion rubles were taken from the party’s state funding – a shocking one-third of its funding for the period. The funds were reportedly withdrawn by individuals and companies linked to the party, including former deputy Igor Anansky’s family, the Institute of World Civilizations, and a family company. Other beneficiaries included director Daniel Bondar, Fin Art Group, general director Evelina Kim of Fin Art, Nadezhda Grishaeva Telmi, Faraon-M security agency, Galina Lebedeva’s company Raritet-M, as well as family properties registered in the village of Nezhinsk.
