Stablecoin application of GSTechnologies is still in process of FCA assessment

GSTechnologies Ltd, an information technology solutions company based in Milton Keynes, England, has stated that its application for a stablecoin with the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is still being processed, despite experiencing a longer timeline than anticipated. The company’s subsidiary, Angra, continues to perform as expected.

In February, the company submitted a stablecoin application for admission to the regulatory sandbox of the financial watchdog. GSTechnologies emphasized that the FCA application for the regulatory sandbox is a “key pillar” of their stablecoin operations planned in strategic jurisdictions, including the UK. They also reiterated their goal of becoming the first publicly listed company to receive an Electronic Money Institution license from the FCA, allowing them to issue stablecoins and provide reliable, stablecoin-based payment services to the UK market and beyond.

Stablecoins are cryptocurrencies whose value is tied to fiat currency, commodity, or financial instrument.

Despite the recent decline in the stock price, GSTechnologies remains focused on its stablecoin endeavours and is awaiting the outcome of its application with the FCA. The company recognizes the importance of regulatory approval in achieving its goals and expanding its stablecoin operations. Investors and stakeholders will be closely monitoring developments in this rapidly evolving sector.
