Eurostar line will be affected by strikes, yet the impact will be likely limited

Eurostar, the high-speed rail line connecting Brussels with London, is adjusting its timetable between 3 and 7 January, following a national strike on the UK rail network. The company announces this on its website.

The disruption between Brussels and London remains limited, with three late trains being cancelled daily and a few trains with an early departure time. From London, One late train is canceled. To Paris there are more cancelled Eurostar trains.

The British Railways have been on strike several times in recent months to enforce higher wages and better working conditions. On Tuesday and Friday, a 48-hour strike will start, with the RMT union expecting 40,000 people to quit their jobs at fourteen train operators. Up to 80 percent of rail traffic could be cut, British media reported on Friday. It was the biggest strike since last summer. The train drivers ‘ union Aslef will stop work on January 5 for 24 hours.
