Brexit Deal gives a good mood to stock markets

The stock exchange in Europe seems to start higher on Thursday on the shortened trading day. The other European stock exchanges are also expected to open with profits. The forthcoming agreement on a British-European trade agreement after the UK’s departure from the EU is a source of relief for investors.

Due to Christmas Eve, the financial markets in Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, London and Madrid are only open half a day on Thursday. In Frankfurt, Milan and Zurich the fairs are closed all day. On Friday, all European markets are closed because of Christmas.

The European Union and the British government are currently working on the details of a trade agreement. A trade agreement must prevent the creation of trade tariffs after 1 January. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen have a telephone conversation. Johnson will hold a press conference around 09.00.
